Content Rules

1. Purpose & Principles

We're building a creative, safe community for cosmetic-only League of Legends skins. Five core principles guide moderation:

• Cosmetic-only: No gameplay advantage—ever.
• Respect IP: Upload only what you own, license, or may lawfully use.
• Safety: No illegal, harmful, or exploitative content.
• Fair Play: No cheats, malware, or evasion.
• Transparency: Accurate metadata, previews, and credits.

2. Eligibility & Age

The Services are 13+. If your local law requires parental consent for minors' data, you must have verifiable consent. We may suspend accounts pending verification.

3. Content Standards

• Content must comply with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations.
• We may remove or restrict content and terminate access at our discretion. We typically share reasons for moderation, but we may act without disclosure when necessary for legal, security, or operational purposes.
• Content should be accurate and not deceptive. Avoid intentionally misleading claims or manipulated previews.

4. Prohibited Content (Zero-Tolerance)

Content must not:

4.1 Harmful/Abusive

Be defamatory, obscene, indecent, abusive, offensive, harassing, violent, hateful, inflammatory, harmful, damaging, disruptive, or otherwise objectionable.

4.2 Hate/Violence & Illegal Sexual Content

Promote violence or discrimination based on protected characteristics (e.g., race, sex, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age); or include sexual content that is illegal or violates Section 5.3 NSFW & Mature Content.

4.3 IP Infringement

Infringe patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights, or other rights.

4.4 Privacy/Legal

Violate others' privacy/publicity rights, or contain material that could give rise to civil/criminal liability, or conflict with our Terms/Privacy Policy.

4.5 Illegal Activity

Promote illegal activity or advocate/assist any unlawful act, including real-life drugs or illicit substances.

4.6 Deception/Impersonation

Intentionally mislead; impersonate any person; misrepresent your identity/affiliation; or suggest Divine Skins' endorsement where not the case.

4.7 Profanity

Contain excessive profane language in listings, previews, or metadata.

4.8 Malware/Security

Include or link to malware, spyware, trojans, cryptominers, keyloggers, or obfuscated files intended to evade review.

4.9 Spam/Scams

Use deceptive paywalls, malicious link shorteners, fake giveaways, or irrelevant/external download gates.

4.10 Doxxing

Post or solicit others' personal data (addresses, IDs, payment info, unshared social accounts).

5. Specific Guidelines

5.1 Competitive Integrity

Content that provides unfair advantages is strictly prohibited, including but not limited to:

• Visual indicators of ability ranges or enemy cooldowns not present in base game.
• Hitbox visualization or model scale changes that affect clarity/targeting.
• Overlays/particles that add visibility cues or hide enemy cues.
• Any modification that reduces game clarity or provides competitive advantages unavailable in base game.

5.2 Asset Usage & "Skinhacking"

We define prohibited "skinhacking" as content primarily intended to replicate currently or previously purchasable League of Legends content. Specifically:

• Direct replication of PBE/Live game manifest content or any purchasable/previously purchasable LoL content is strictly prohibited.
• Content must not be immediately recognizable as a paid LoL skin.
• Purchasable LoL content may be referenced only under standard derivative-work principles—no direct rips.
• Ports from other Riot Games IP or past updates must modify equivalent live content where applicable.

Derivative works and creative use of Riot assets are permitted when all of the following are true:

• The content is substantially transformed;
• The work is original in nature;
• The intent is not to replicate purchasable content; and
• Proper attribution is provided where required by license.

5.3 NSFW & Mature Content (Allowed with Conditions)

NSFW is permitted but must be correctly filtered and labeled:

• Toggle NSFW to ON and add accurate tags (e.g., NSFW, nudity, sexual themes).
• Add a clear content warning in the first paragraph of the description.
• Use an SFW cover/thumbnail. No explicit nipples/genitalia or sexual acts in thumbnails, public previews, or search results.
• NSFW content is visible only to users who have enabled Mature Content and attest they are 18+.
• Ensure metadata reflects that all depicted characters are 18+; do not imply youth/minor status.

Strictly prohibited even under NSFW:

• Sexualization of minors or characters presented as minors.
• Non-consensual acts, sexual violence, or exploitation.
• Bestiality or incest.

6. Project Requirements (Listings)

Projects must make a clear, honest attempt to describe their purpose in the designated areas of the project page. Necessary information must not be obscured.

Required metadata: Accurate title, summary, champion, tags, version, and credits. Thumbnails/screenshots must reflect the actual mod. NSFW mods must use an SFW cover/thumbnail. No misleading SEO/spam.

7. Documentation Standards

From a project description, users should be able to understand what the project does, why they'd want it, and how to use it. Please include:

• What the project specifically does or adds;
• Why someone should want to download it;
• Any critical information users must know before downloading (compatibility, limitations, dependencies).

8. Technical Requirements

• Packaging: Only .modpkg files (Celestial format). No installers, passworded archives, or external gates.
• Versioning: Provide proper version documentation and changelogs.
• Performance: Meet reasonable performance/size standards; avoid excessive VFX/polycounts that risk stability.
• Security: No obfuscation intended to conceal harmful behavior.

9. Updates & Maintenance

Creators must:

• Maintain version compatibility;
• Provide update documentation;
• Address critical issues promptly;
• Keep project information accurate and current.

10. Accessibility

• Project descriptions must have a plain-text version (images/videos welcome as supplements).
• Use headings for structure—do not use headings for body text.
• Provide an English-language translation unless the project is exclusively intended for another language.

11. Copyright & Reuploads

• You must own or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to upload and distribute your content through Divine Skins.
• Do not directly reupload content from another source without explicit permission. Licensed "forks" are allowed when the project has diverged substantially from the original.
• Always follow license terms and provide attribution where required.

12. Attribution Guidelines

We encourage transparent crediting while keeping requirements lightweight:

• Credit major third-party assets;
• Acknowledge significant contributors on collaborative works;
• Note asset packs used in documentation;
• Simple attribution in the project description is sufficient unless a license requires more.

13. Moderation & Enforcement

Our rights: We may remove content without prior notice, moderate without explanation, update these Rules, terminate access, and take actions necessary to protect platform integrity.

Transparency: We strive to explain decisions, but we may act without disclosure for legal/security reasons.

Enforcement ladder (examples):

• A – Fix-it (metadata/quality): Hide listing → request fixes within 7 days.
• B – Prohibited Content: Immediate removal → 7–30 day suspension depending on severity.
• C – Security/Cheats/Malware: Immediate removal → permanent ban and referral as needed.
• Repeat copyright infringers: Three (3) substantiated strikes in 12 months → permanent termination.

Appeals: For non-copyright issues, open a moderation appeal via support. For copyright removals, follow our DMCA counter-notice process.

14. Data & Privacy Notes

We process necessary data for moderation, security, analytics, and fraud prevention as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not solicit or collect users' personal data through mods or listings.

15. Definitions

• User Content: Skins, models, textures, effects, audio, screenshots, thumbnails, descriptions, comments, and any files/metadata you upload or post.
• Cheat: Any software/configuration that provides gameplay advantage, evades anti-cheat, or manipulates clarity.
• Minor: A person under 18 or depicted as such.
• NSFW (Mature Content): Sexual content or explicit nudity intended for adults (18+). Allowed only with correct filters, SFW covers, age-gating, and accurate metadata; never involving minors or other illegal content.

16. Changes & Contact

We may update these Rules to reflect legal, safety, or product changes. Continued use of the Services means you accept the current version.

Quick Reference

Do:

• Ship original, cosmetic-only skins.
• Credit contributors and licenses.
• Use correct NSFW filters and SFW covers when applicable.
• Maintain versions and fix issues quickly.

Don't:

• Replicate purchasable LoL skins or rip assets.
• Add visibility cues, change model scale, or hide enemy particles.
• Include malware, external paywalls, or client tampering outside Celestial.
• Post hate, illegal sexual content, doxxing, or omit required NSFW filters/metadata.

Strikes: Minor fix → 7 days; IP/Hate/NSFW → removal + 7–30 day suspension; Security/Cheats/Malware → permanent ban; 3 copyright strikes/year → permanent ban.
