Animations
Guides for Deadlock animation mods: replace one of a hero's animation clips with your own motion, and the ModelDoc route for full control.
Animation mods replace one of a hero's existing clips with your own motion. You cannot add new moves: that needs the game's animation graph, and no public tool can edit it. These guides are advanced, so get comfortable with Blender first.
Keep your animations fair. Never make an enemy's wind-up easier to read, and never shrink a hero on screen. Read What's allowed and how to stay safe before you start.
Before you start
Start here. Learn the Blender basics on a Deadlock model before you animate one.
What do you want to do?
Swap an ability, melee, parry, or reload animation for your own motion. Animate in Blender, export a DMX, and pack only the compiled clip.
Full control over clips, events, aim clips, and IK chains. Import your DMX animations in ModelDoc and generate the clip files there.
